A Refugee-Led Organization (RLO), Dzaleka Home Based Care conducted a clinical day in the camp aiming at assessing and treating patients with chronical illness.

The clinical day conducted under the local theme: “Compassion in Action” stood as a relief to many patients with hypertension, diabetes, cancer and stroke by receiving treatment and drugs with the support of HBC’s partner, Thuy Bui from the University of Pittsburgh In the United State of America.

Dzaleka Refugee Camp faces a huge challenge in health sector since the population relays on one public health center, a situation worsening proper treatment of patients as the health center serves a catchment area of over 75,000 people from both Dzaleka and the host communities.
